Even trained Tkd Larry Cureton who fought in early UFC twice , famous for his axe kicks and strong backkicks which I simply caught on my shouldrs or side and threw him. Had dozens of fights against tkd kickers - no problemo. In fact members of a tkd school going for their black belts came to my school to learn to fight for their black belt tests.

There's several types of Taekwon-Do. Olympic Style, which is more sporty and more entertaining to watch. Most schools teach it for self-defense. Some take it way back when and get deep into the philosophy of it, and Martial Arts in general. The list goes on. There's no such thing as a correct way of doing Taekwon-Do... aside from the techniques of course.

there are two big differences between High School and Olympic swimming. 1. 100 Fly in High School is 100 Yards, 100 Fly in the Olympics is 100 Meters. 2. In addition an Olympic size pool is 50M, while a High School pool is 25 yards. So a 100 Fly swimmer in High School gets 3 push offs while a 100 Fly Swimmer in the Olympics only has 1 push off.

these are all great athletes. and the ending part was really sad because of the ending to the games as well as the journey. all of them work so hard to get there and to represent their county and in the end only one person will take first in that competition amazing vid, intense at the beining and then a big big twist at the end. great work. i don't know if anyone has some of the sparring matches, but i'd really like to see some of them. please do share.

i think you are missing the point...taekwondo may not be the most effective in street fights..but taekwondo was made strictly for defense(like any other martial arts) some people are dumb enough to think that martial arts is used to be the superior one... and trust me...people who know taekwondo know how to fight even with their fists because tkd has strict rules whereas streetfight the fighter can apply all he has without any rules

Yes, that is exactly what I'm saying. They are far better than the attention they have gotten through the years, in Europe at least. Go into a shop, how many Iced Earth merchandise do you find? Go to a big festival, are Iced Earth invited? Look at the charts of the most sold albums etc, etc. Iced Earth is MUCH better than the attention they get. And I say this objectivly because I don't like em all that much.

Dickinson is not were NEAR overrated. His voice is very VERY clear, and he can hold a note and reach a very high pitch better than most. I think he has a 5 octave range? Not sure about that, but he is one of metal's best singers for sure.

It's very exciting when you're the person fencing, not watching. You have to think really fast what to do, and need to react pretty fast to each opponent's movement. And this weapon is called "Foil" or "Fleuret", there are 3 different weapons: Foil, Sabre, Epee This is foil, it's about hitting your opponent's body ( chest, upper shoulders, back, stomach) if the blade were too hard it will hurt your opponent.

The valid target area varies from weapon to weapon. In foil it's the torso and crotch...the part covered by the metallic vest (called a lame'). Epee is the entire body, from head to toes. Sabre is everything from the waist up (except for the hands...target stops at the bony part of the wrist)
