the way ps3 plays ps2 games is from an "emulator", as far as i know 40gb ps3's are lacking in a lot. NO ps2 support, and no wifi, and only 2 usb ports :( and there is no fully working ps2 emulator.

For the people that are confused, This is the same way a PSP was, a code that is unsigned means that it isn't approved by Sony to be running on the PS3, therefore it doesn't. When you can get an unsigned code working you can do pretty much what you want with it. Just like the PSP had home brew so will the PS3. What it means is that if this is real, Iso Loaders, homebrew programs are coming to the PS3, the cheap bastards that can't afford games can finally play something.

Really? Since the PS3 has much more recent technology on it, then please explain this. Why do games look basically the same on both consoles? One doesn't produce noticably better graphics then the other. And the PS3 has its fair share of fails as well, the PS3 doesn't uses 6 out of 8 processors, much more difficult to program on (later game releases) and a bit more but I can remember all of them. Of the 3 systems I bought, I got my ps3 first, and my 360 last, so don't say I'm biased. I've had every sony system so far except for the PSX, and I've had every Nintendo system since the n64 and every handheld since the gameboy pocket (except for the GBA SP and GBA micro). I have all 3 next generation systems, and I like the Xbox 360 more than my ps3. Of all 3 systems, my ps3 crashed 20 times, my 360 crashed 3 times, and my Wii never crashed. I have call of duty 4 on both my ps3 and 360. On the 360 I could party up with my friends; on the ps3 I tried over and over, but it always showed an error. On the 360 messages are received almost instantly; on my ps3 I've had 10-20 minute delays between sending and arrival of messages.
