do you even know what resolution is? when its showing the dual screen comparison, look at the bars between the windows, theres a big difference between composite and component, and a great difference between component and HDMI which has a more clearer/ realistic image.

if you use composite, the lol@ u, go back to ps2! u need ATLEAST component or the reolution gets screwed on larger HDTV'swith! u need the HDMI cable to attain the 1080P resolution on (of coarse) 1080P tv's! SO, if you have a 1080P tv, buy the HDMI cable, after all thats why you bought the TV.

To convert a widescreen movie into full screen cuts off half the picture and that picture is then zoomed to further hurt quality. Additionally, when this happens during dialog in a movie, the full screen editor pans the camera which looks terrible. If you want a garbage picture like that for some reason, every hd tv I have seen has a zoom function which zooms, cutting off the sides and top and hurting quality in the same manner. Go for it.

No it Plays at 600p and is up scaled like all other supposedly 1080p games, Redmond and Sony are lying bastards TBH Halo3 runs at 600p and so does Resistance. So technically 720p will yield better image quality.

Never in a million years, but you won't be able to watch HD DVD/Blu-Ray at full resolution over DVI but even with HDMI the graphics card and monitor need to be HDCP compliant otherwise it downscales. (BTW I mean true Blu-ray/HD-DVD sources not unprotected HD video files)

This is a crock. They say the difference between composite and component is a "slightly difference" but the difference between HDMI ans component gives a far superior resolution. Total BS. I've done installations with component video on larger screens. Usually you can't see a difference between component and HDMI.
