I have actually thought about this a lot. I am a pretty big guy (6'4" 215lbs.) and I know I can hold my own on the ground or during a stand up confrontation. The radio stations do play what folks want to hear, but it wouldn't kill them to play some good real hip hop once in a while, so us real hip hop heads can have something to listen to besides the other crap being played. I totally agree with you-Steve Stevens is extremely under rated!I think playing on MJ's "Dirty Diana" may have damaged his reputation despite the song being excellent because alot of critics eg Rolling Stone magazine don't take well to rock guitarists playing with pop or black musicians such as Michael Jackson.

It's hard to believe how many people don't get the lyrics to this song. To me it's always been obvious. I mean if you couldn't work out the lyrics you'd think the video would have been the biggest clue of all. This song came out when I was eleven-years-old and even then I knew what the lyrics meant. Not many rock write songs this heavy anymore, so I applaud Steven for writing and preforming a song about incest and rape, it's an ugly topic but it shouldn't be ignored.
