you can get the xbox elite and it comes with the adapter and the elite xbox which is a little better plus it comes wiht a headset, wireless remote (i think 2 maybe not) all for just 499$ i added up the cost of the arcade xbox and the adapter with the xbox live set and it costs about 200$ more then the elite box. hopefuly this helped

My xbox won't pick up the router at home! it picks up about 4-6 networks around the house but not ours! my sister's laptop picks up the connection fine but even typing the network SSID into the 'devices not listed' section won't work! I just wanna go online and shot people!!
