My Great Grandmother was a Cherokee. I for one call myself a native american not because I have a small amount of Cherokee heritage but because I was born in this great land. My Great Gradfather was Creek. Many generations ago President Andrew Jackson sent many native americans to their deaths on the trail of tears. He forced them to leave Florida and head the lond journey North Westward. Jackson stole their land and killed many native americans to get their land.

Hi, i hadn't heard about Freddy Weller singing that part. I did do some research and can't find anything saying he lead sang on that song, although he did do a song called "Indian Lake" afterward. I'll try searching again, thanks. See my other recent comment with a quote from Wikipedia on that.

RE who lead sang on Indian Reservation, It had always sounded like Mark Lindsay to me. Listen to his other stuff from the early 70's such as Siver Bird, similar vocal qualities. Here's a quote from Wikipedia: "Ironically, The Raiders biggest hit, "Indian Reservation" (1971 - #1 - Gold single), was recorded as a Mark Lindsay solo session and included input from no one else in the band. Revere took the unusual step of promoting the single, by riding cross country a total of four times."
