dude i've finished prey. 2 games better than this? like all the hl2 steam games (hl2,css,dods,tf2 etc...except portal which was boring)? rainbow six vegas is real good too. like i said, graphics and movie like presentation are good and they really try to absorb the player into the story but the actual gameplay is pretty repetitive. it's a good game but not amazing. i guess since they used the doom3 engine it feels too familiar. if this had come out when doom 3 did i'd prob like it more.

To sum this game up, It's like a combination of Doom 3, Bioshock, Portal, and Duke Nukem. All I can say is play it. You'll probably love it.

most xbox games can work on a 360 so i would recommend a few titles. first, a little known game called breakdown, which pretty much pioneered weird physics, second a title known in the states as indigo prophecy but if you can get your hands on the European version, titled Fahrenheit you can see BOOBIES, and next I'd recommend the obvious, the orange box, it's tons of fun if you've got live. I'd also recommend the condemned series and red dead revolver. all of these will sink alot of time. enjoy

My girlfriend and I got hectically stoned on weed coockies a few months back. We started playing this game. It freaked us out, however we couldnt put it down. It was sooo compelling. What scared us was that part where all those people get butchered (place where the grandfather dies). We sat there watching all those poor screaming people one after another for like 10 minutes. Disturbing! Especially when watching it on a 50 inch HD tv, just 50 cm from your face. It rocked!

I agree with JustusGer! I don´t like Hampson´s stage presence, it´s one thing - other thing is that Hampson is not very likable (for me). Thirdly, I don´t think that he´s better than Pray. Hermann Pray was incredible singer and he will be in memory of people veeery long time yet!!! It doesn´t matter, that this version of aria is slowly as Hampson´s (btw, it can be also conception of conductor) Pray is better, it´s my opinion! But I accept also other opinion. um i payed around 1000$ for my comp, and all the games i have are maxed, Oblivian, Supreme commander, Splinter cell double agent, Halo 2, S.T.A.L.K.E.R and i built my comp around 4yrs ago... so if you don't mind periodicly going out and buying a new console, pluss new games, get a console. if you don't mind upgradeing a PC every couple of yrs. get a PC Oh and E. for the PC is MMorpg WoW, LOTRO, city of heroes. GW, Warhammer Online Vanguard saga of heroes. DAOC and yes PS3 has much better graphics than the 360, but they didn't polish them and now it looks worse, PC already has better graphic engines than the Consoles But noones really makeing games 4 it.

but a Console has it's advantages. A most FPS's are much esier to play on the console. games like GAW and halo 2 lost planet. B RPG's like Oblivion, two worlds, FFXI are much better and esier to play on the consoles. C Flight/Racing, not unluss you want to pay 50+ for a controller are much esier to play on the console. yes, but to get next gen graphics for a console you have to go buy one, for a pc you just have to upgrade it also PC games can have A more stuff in it, games like Fable more xtra quests, Splinter Cell DA. B PC games were useing the next gen graphics before 360 our ps3 was even out. LOL!! PC Gaming defines gaming itself :) Console's suck,they're very limited in graphics which aren't upgradeable. The experience is always the same. PC Gaming isn't hindered by how well a console is made,it's hindered by how you adjust the graphical settings,or how rigged your pc is. Consoles just plain suck. The mouse is a precision controller,much better than a joystick/game controller :P PC Gamer ftw :D

Wow, that version looks unbelievable for 1998. The good thing I like about the Prey development hell is that they didn't change much, they didn't really scrap anything except for a few story things and the main character (including his name) which I think is great compared to other games that have been in development for that long. I seriously like Prey's story a lot and I'm expecting the sequel.

Wow, they should have released it back then, it would have been a huge success and one of the most revolutionary games ever... I mean, I absolutely like the 2006 version! I played it and it was fun. But Prey had the potential to set an example for all present games. Too bad the technology couldn't deal with all this features in a whole game back then :(

That had nothing to do with its success, which by the way it sold really well. The problem is and was that they downgraded the boldness of the game with the switch to doom3 technoligy. It lost most of the "awesome" stuff it had in this version. The destructable enviroments for one, and a lot of the original story was totally revamped. Its a completely different game now.

this is one of my role arias - and while beautiful interpreted in this - he sounds as if he has no head resonance and therefore - the flat sounding pitch - it is sort of in the right globe of the pitch but at the bottom of the shape - altho some really bad intonations of pitch near the end - his turn in engel for eg... but you know what - i would trade places any day

it is unfortunately a bit below pitch. He also has developed a tremor in his lower jaw to compensate for the lack of vibrato due to connection problems in the recit. the aria is gorgeously done, and the language as only a native speaker can do. Think of these singers as athletes. Imagine Mohamed Ali fighting today, or Michael Jordan taking on Kobe, or Montana vs. Brady. Voices mature with age, but only to a point, and the body must contain that voice. Prey is one of the greatest ever.

Gosh, the tempo is getting indulgent... This is absolutely boring. Herman Prey is my favorite baritone so far, his interpretation always excels with cleanliness and emotion, but, personally, where his strong voice, though flexible in its heights, absolutely perfect for Mozart's figaro, I think he lacks the sensuality, fire and lyricism to bring out in much of central, high baritone repertoire.

Him and Steve Gadd, Bernard Purdie, Vinnie Colaiuta, and Jeff Porcaro (RIP) will forever be my drumming first five. (Chad Gracey is my 6th man hehe.)
