For all you young kids out there this song came out in 1970. The lead singer Jim Peterik (may have spelled it wrong)had a girlfriend in the 1960's. She wanted him to drive her around everywhere. He commented to her "what am I, your Vehicle?" He based the song on his old girlfriend. Also, the "vehicle" that he had at the time I believe was a 1962 Dodge Dart.

Not really, all the mods really do is add defferent vehicles, weapons and other stuff like that. Another thing is that people keep whining about it being easy. They do have an expert mode, they do need to put an easy and medium mode for people who aren't as good as others so everybody can enjoy it, not just the best of the best.

They can afford the camera - the problem is that there weren't any 'good' cameras built to handle the kind of vibration that this thing was going through. If you did this today, you'd stick a digi-camcorder in there, but they didn't really exist a decade ago. They were using tape based hardened cameras and transmitting, but there are limits to what you can do when moving parts are involved. Even mil-spec stuff would have struggled with this.

nope... even the Budweiser team admit that no sonic boom was heard. they say the sound of the engines were so loud up close that you couldn't hear the boom. However, no boom was heard at distance. the USAF tower also originally came up with a speed of 38mph and only came up with a record speed 8 hours later. type in "budweiser rocket" on wikipedia and have a look. pretty ballsy effort for 1979 but no one seriously claims anymore that it broke the sound barrier.

I have never been a big fan of LB, but I think they get way too much shit. Nonsensical lyrics? Uh, look at the entire genre of rap. Try reading the lyrics to "Got Money" by Lil' Wayne. Talk about trite! "Rollin" is just a song about grooving to some music, which I think every artist is entitled to make at some point. I don't know if they were stock items found lying around (like its that easy!!) or from a decommissioned aircraft. And yeah, the Phantom...what a plane! Now the Germans no longer fly at airshows we dont get to see it in Britain anymore. Gutted!!

Have you ever tried SDRC-Ideas? Now that is shite! Inventor is just very basic. As a preference I would use SolidWorks for machinery, robots, modular design, mechanisms. For automotive/aerospace I prefer Catia V4 (that's right - OLD non-parametric Catia) as I've always found V5 awkward and non-intuitive. In its day (yearr 2000) Pro/E was the best parametric system - not any more but it still has some great features that the others haven't got - regen to tolerance limits stands out.

Actually, basic versions are more in the 15 000$/year range. A full version with all modules, including class A surfaces, FEA, enovia, etc. is about 120 000$/year. CATIA is mostly used by car and airplane manufactuerrs. I would suggest SolidWorks for less experienced (or rich) people.

You could get the same performance with 4 wheel-motors from TM4 In Longueuil QC. They where developped by Hydro-Québec but silenced by big corporations. You could use one or 2 of them along with Avestor Lithium batteries, another spinn off from the IREQ (Institut de Recherche en Électricitée du Québec) but they were bankrupted by major coprs too, and then commute to work at 140 kmh for $1.25 PER WEEK.
