OHH i know dude just the not knowing always using that term NOS with little clue NOS is a brand name and it actually stands for a few other things out there. Its this damn fast and fake movies that made it NOS for everything n2o spraying. They lost how to make something go fast without the bottle now a days. Thats what happens when brandnames run wild like: xerox (xerox this for me), trampoline, ziploc bag, zipper(originally a company name), Pampers, photoshop, kodak (kodak moment) some products infiltrate modern language, however many companies are trademarking and suing if their products are not being associated with whats intended. like xerox suing my university for having a room called Xerox, while using Canon machines.

Nicely done friend,no wonder my machine shop keep telling me ,vavle guide can wear quicks on Honda motor and Mitsubishi motor,but also they should have some way of making diff. kind of valves guide instead of brass material,prevent fro wear on valves and valve guide,wonder if double valves spring also cause the damage on valves and valves guide also.

We know metal expands when hot so the size when hot is the actual. The Haynes manual indicates to adjust when hot as well.

Turns out my chain length was ok. It seems that the a universal flapper is equipped with a ring as part of the mold which slides down the overflow tube as when you install it. This ring keeps tension on the arms of the flapper and doesn't allow them to pivot when flushed. The tension forces the flappper down unless you hold the flush handle down. I just simply cut each end of the ring where it attaches to the arms and it did the trick. Whats that annoying ring for anyhow? water saving maybe?

Hi Tim. My flapper in our ensuite toilet was allowing a small constant trickle of water through. I rescently replaced it with another flapper. It wasn't identicle to the old one but it still fit like a glove. The leak stopped but now we have to hold the flush handle down for a few seconds or it will close immediately and not allow the flush to complete. I tinkered with the chain length from the arm to the flapper but no luck. Any suggestions?

That happened to me once. I was cleaning a gutter, and my hands were filthy. I went into the bathroom to wash up, and to my surprise, the town had shut off the water. It isn't the same water which you drink if you have got a rainwater circuit which you use for flushing the toilet etc. which gets collected from the gutters. It is starting to be introduced in the UK because of price increases.

If you are on city water, usually there is chloramine or chlorine dioxide in your water. But I believe the toilet tank gets contaminated from the mold that grows in the tank above the water line. If you use untreated well water, tank water is stagant water=lots of bacteria. In an emergency, I think you could treat either type of toilet tank water with halazone tablets or boil it to get drinking water.

I have Mitral Valve Prolapse (MVP). The disorder sucks. Simply put: one of the valves in your heart doesn't close completely, so there are varied symptoms that go with that. There is also a mitral valve prolapse syndrome (which includes many varied symptoms) that many get with the disorder. That's where the panic attacks are found. Oh well. Such is life. At least I'm thin and can't drink caffeine because of it. :)

Well I hope this is the same procedure for an Lc4....I have used this twice now and am about to watch it again for my 3rd adjustment/inspection. I always forget how to find TDC +1 great video. Question: I called the dealer and he said that your way isnt the correct way. He said there is spring tension and you must not inspect. He said it will give a false reading. He said the only way is to smash the screw down on the guage and tighten? Any Thoughts? Im new to valves.

Thanks. I have a gay ass push mower. It's front wheel drive. It has a belt that goes around a pulley built into the crank, and goes up to a pulley above the gearbox. I put the cam back in and got it timed. It was fun. I've never had a motor stripped that far down before. I will before long. A buddy has 2 identical riding lawn mowers, and he's going to sell them both to me for $25. That way I can fix one with parts from the other. Determine which is the least mechanically wack and fix that one and fix it with the working parts off the other. What doesn't work on either I'll have to buy, but a parts mower will help for sure.

Nice work, I usually set it when the engine is set at top dead center and both valves are closed, but i haven't worked on a V-twin before so maybe the way to do it on a V-twin is a bit different. I did notice that you didnt say to check the valve cover seal/gasket. Might be a good idea for people to check that so the valve cover doesn't leak.

Me noodling through my Peavey Valve King 212 with Eminence Man-O-War speakers. I was unhappy with the harsh, brash sound of the amp until I put a Boss GE-7 EQ in the effects loop and cut 1.6K almost completely. It really smoothed out the tone quite a bit and is a lot closer to the Marshall sound I like. I am playing my Epiphone Les Paul Studio with Gibson Burstbucker PRO pickups.

I agree. I have both a Marshall AVT150 Head and a Peavey Valveking VK100 Head and two Celestion loaded 212 cabs. The Valveking sounds much better than the AVT.

...i think that Valveking would kill any Marshall AVT series amp... and sure also the Line 6 spider 3... We are not comparing a Vk with a Plexy or a JCM800, but he asked to compare the VK with a Marshall AVT... so i would buy a Valveking... actually i have the VK100 running a Framus 2x12 loaded with V30... i'm so happy, and i have any hard rock\rock\metal sound i want. It's a very versatile amp, with a wonderful clean you can do jazz, blues pop, and a killer lead that can ben easly smoothed. Bye

Put a Celestion Vintage 30 in your Valve King. That will be a significant improvement. Also run an EQ in your effects loop. You can really tailor your overdrive tones this way. I would choose a Valve King with these upgrades over a Hot Rod Deluxe... they have great cleans but I don't care for the overdrive on those.

I prefer Marshalls, but VOX amps are also great. The Burstbucker PROs were an improvement in tone... but the stock pickups were pretty good I thought. If you have the extra $200 to spend it's worth it, but otherwise keep the stock ones. They're very good pickups also.

The speaker change to some good Celestions like that will give you better clarity and extended low end, as well as some good midrange growl. I tried changing tubes and I don't think it made much difference at all.

In normal driving you should recirculate the air after the air flow meter to avoid your car overfueling. If you vent to atmosphere the dumped air has already passed the airflow meter, but the ECU thinks it will be going into the engine so provides more fuel. When racing, because you change gear as fast as you possibly can, the throttle is only closed momentarily so as you say it doesnt make much difference.

I have respect for what you know that everyone has known for the last 50 years. But seriously, this is a new philosophy, and it works. Search the internet for how many people are finding that Synchronic is the best BOV on the planet right now. Many OEM engineers use this same approach. This is a pull-type BOV so, pressure isn't pushing it open. Vacuum is keeping it open. Blower, or turbo, same stuff, you don't want load and resistance for the compressor under vac.

The engine is in vac, but the throttle is shut, the turbo is still spinning so it is blowing out air. An open BOV unloads the compressor when the throttle is shut so that the turbo isn't stressed when there's no demand for it. What do you think centrifugal blowers do at idle? They blow air out, turbo's do too. Watch the BMW 335 video like I told you.
