This browser looks pretty useful, but its proxing every connection through their servers. So no privacy or end-to-end encryption achievable at all, until they address that. Since all the browser layout rendering and codec processing is happening remotely I'm not sure how they'll do that, unless they embed VPN functiionalty into the browser.

The latest Beta invitation code is "Michael8". If you signup again with a new email and phone number, I guess you will have access to it straight away. But it doesn't support BlackBerry OS. Only Symbian S60 and Windows Mobile at the moment.

I don't have the ds browser, but I do use opera, and I can tell you: It'll work, but I'm sure it will load extremely slowly, and will have a handful of errors. On my home computer, on opera, everything loads fast, except facebook, which can take upwards of 30 seconds to load.

This is lame. You are benchmarking browsers on both computers which obviously are different (performance-wise). If you want good results, use the same exact computer for the different benchmarks. Hardware is a big impact on the performance of your internet connection and browser.

yeah i watched someone elses tutorial which was MUCH more informing than any other ive seen yet, he told me to instal the mce browser to my pc (for anyone else out there thats having the problem i did) and sure enough it worked, now theres a browser icon in the more programs section of my media center. i got on it and theres a list of already saved pages like ebay, couldnt figure out for the life of me how to enter my own url, and altogether the browser sucks. u cant do anything on it whatsoever

Even though Firefox 3 is faster, I only use Firefox when I need it, so I was disappointed to find out that most of my add-ons and themes in 2 don't work in 3. Scrolling might not be a big deal for you, but I have a MacBook, which means I have a trackpad, and even though that trackpad is the best in the world, it doesn't matter much if an app doesn't conform with the scrolling idea. If you have an ? laptop, you know what I mean. PC trackpads are fucked up to begin with, so it doesn't matter.

useless add-ons? yeah right. A good browser is judged by a variety of things, not scrolling capability. One Important thing in judging a browser is speed. I will admit up front that safari is an insanely fast web browser. However speed isn't the only factor. If someone just wanted a fast & real bare bones browser then Safari would be good. However For most people who aren't tech savy, Firefox is the best choice. It's Fast, Secure, Customizable, & fully compliant with most current web standards!

Nothing beats the scrolling in Safari on a Mac (or even safari on a PC). Not even other mac applications like iTunes (which lags when scrolling over artwork in the "grouped with artwork" view) or Preview (which is too fast when scrolling through photos and too slow, or jumpy when scrolling in PDF's) can match Safari's scrolling ability. And don't even get me started about fucking Firefox. That thing is more bloated than IE with all those useless add-ons.

I'm unfortunately a PC user, however I'm still writing this comment on SAFARI, it even has spellcheck, it is just mile-way better than the FUCKING IE7, by the way IE7 steal the tab feature from Safari, and the worst of all, they copy in the most crappiest way ever, it even freezes every two minutes (if you are lucky, if not, in every 30 sec!) Thank god I switch to Safari.
