no the 3 red lights means that the thermal paste inside of your GPU is old and is in need of a repair...that crap just happened to mine after i opened it all the way up and reapplied the paste. the Xbox 360 gives you 4 red lights when you unplug your AV cable out not 3... oh by the way i dont know how to fix my goddamn xbox w/o having to ship it back to the states...yea it sucks :(

Alright I think there been MISUNDERSTANDING here, I never declared X360 was the worst console ever existed and should not be used. X360 does have some advantages especially for young developers such has XNA & to simplify TORQUE ENGINE XNA for the 360. This system does have few great games (fable 2, GOW2, HALO 3) & inside xbox is fantastic & better then Qore. But don't insult ps3, it has more demos, firmware updates, linux, free online on dedicated servers, awesome games & so on. Your choice =).

Dam u can't talk properly without an insult, it's sad. I could of misunderstand your post but if that's the case then it's my fault. And we all care about blu-ray it doesn't just let us watch hd movies which is awesome, but watch hd trailer, previews, developers in game. But blu-ray also gives 7.1 channel surrounding, make games last more longer and a higher texture resolution. And we have much more then blu-ray (wi-fi, bluetooth, motion sensor, firmware updates better GPU & CPU...) End this.

You have to think Sony in new to online gaming and Microsoft has been doing online gaming for a generation. XBox does not have better exclusive. They have Halo 3 which sucks. Gears & Gears 2 which are okay not a GREAT game despite the 9.5s. Fable 2 which was crappy. Mass Effect which was beautiful but we have Final Fantasy and Metal Gear Solid. We have updates too. But Sony has nothing big to fix so that's' why they don't update seasonly. It all comes down to which games you like.

U don't get updates rofl, i know because my brother has a 360. It's actually this fall that you will get finally an update but which is great but not awesome. And we don't lag, gears lag and to get to their servers is a pain. Xbox live doesn't have more features, dude stop, I know xbox360 more than you. Inside xbox360 is fantastic and dominate ps3 qore, but still that isn't worth 60$ and i could by pass it. Ps2 online 4 years, ps3 1 year, X360 8 month. And sony servers don't lag. Check ps3 09!!!

Mi Xbox le salieron las 3 luces rojas, llame a Microsoft y me la repararon gratis(x q tenia garantia)despues me mandaron otra consola y esta no abria bn la charola, les volvi a hablar y me la cambiaron, pero ahora la consola q me enviaron ya no enciende, ni siquiera luz roja, me dijeron q podrian ser los cables o el regulador, pero ya los probe con los d 1 amiwo y es mi consola.Ahora ya se acabo mi garantia y tengo q pagar y no c q hacer x q no junto el dinero.

no mames no le hagan caso a este sugeto, la pasta termica blanca se funde en un mes y hecha a perdre la consola ademas no es necesario usar la pistola de calor, lo que hay que hacer es modificar el dicipador de calor que se encuentra arriba del procesador de video ademas no le quiten la pasta termica gris,porque eso es no es silicono como el dice ademas si no tienes cuidado le puedes volar una pista al procesador y hecarlo a perder, lo poco que le queda de pasta gris es mejor que la pasta blanca

i kinda wish i never bought my ps3 that early wasnt worth £400 about £150-£200 was spent on just the blu-ray dvd player built inside which i dont get cause people buy these consoles 4 games not 2 watch films. they should have made 2 diffent packs 4 it one with and one without the blu-ray init cause ive never used it since ive had it plus it would drop the price greatly.

..the old models of the xbox 360 overheat a lot more than the new models because one of the chips were put to close to the fan engine..the new 360s hav had this sorted out..u can tell if u hav one of the newer models just by looking on the back..if u have 5 ports (ethernet, usb, A/V, Vga, Power) then u have the newer model..if u have only 4 ports...(ethernet, usb, A/V, Power) with no VGA port..then u have the older model..i myself have the older model..but it works fine.

they've never been this technologically advanced before. Consoles in the past have never tried to cram the space, and usually couldn't overheat in the first place. Yes the ps3 is also a well spec'd machine, but its a different casing and a different cooling system, so if i am right about where your putting the console, then the ps3 may not have the same issue.

after finally taking the plunge on blu-ray, i got a ps3.and i must say the user interface was a step backwards to what im used to on the xbox. the user interface does not flatter, and often gets lost in the background when I use a custom background. the menu systems are endless, i dont know which is worse, having the original xbox blade system group and organise everything a few clicks away, or have the ps3 list a hundred items one click away.

then theres definitely something wrong with where you're keeping it. Anyone i know, its taken 2 years for it to break, and thats only 2 of the 15 - 20 people i know who have an xbox. One of the biggest mistakes made is people keeping it next to a radiator, it doesnt matter what ur hardware is, it won't like that. Also if your room temperature is particularly high that's not good either for the lifetime of any hardware.
