Everyone be careful with region free channels/wads I've heard that damaged wads can easily fuck up a console

Does this work with the latest Wii update?
By: jassimalaskary. on 15 Nov 08, 09:22:22
u haave to TRY to brick it while doing this, the only way u can brick a wii is from an update or downgrader or region changer. e.g if u get an import and it asks u for an update, if u do update u may get it bricked

By: dxmkrew. on 05 Oct 08, 06:37:19

good to know
By: Blaxxx2. on 22 Sep 08, 19:03:47
So long as you can use the homebrew channel you can downgrade to 3.2 using waninkoko's downgrader. But whatever suits you best.
By: hdofu. on 22 Sep 08, 15:35:29
cause some of us have 3.1 and can't use the store or upgrade to 3.2
By: BernierCR42. on 22 Sep 08, 13:28:13
well, not everyone is given a choice. Sometimes someone else updates it, or it is purchased that way. You are right the main feature of 3.3 is kinda weak and hacking 3.3 is slightly more difficult. The reason people use 3.3 is because eventually an important game will require it. You might as well get used to 3.3 now because you will need it in the future.
By: Blaxxx2. on 22 Sep 08, 13:22:33
Why would people want to use 3.3? I don't see the point?
By: BernierCR42. on 21 Sep 08, 21:56:13
I am sure there has never been a problem. But does it matter if it is fixed now? You posted that 5 days ago. Everyone is using 3.3.
By: BernierCR42. on 21 Sep 08, 21:54:38
yes. The first wii was bought 2 weeks after launch and so it used the first firmware. My current wii was probably bought around that time too since it has the first chipset. It currently has the newest firmware. there has never been a synching problem, maybe just idiots not knowing how to press the buttoms.
By: jevansturner. on 21 Sep 08, 21:53:21
Also, it's possible that you had not tried to permanently synch a new controller until Nintendo had already changed the procedure.
By: jevansturner. on 21 Sep 08, 21:51:47
Are you NTSC USA region?
By: BernierCR42. on 21 Sep 08, 21:32:28
no this never happened. I had a launch wii and never had that problem. I just bought another launch wii, obviously used this time. Still no problem syncing them.
By: jevansturner. on 21 Sep 08, 20:38:56
Unless this has changed with revised hardware/firmware, you would be incorrect. Many Wii remotes were returned to Target, donated to Goodwill, and purchased by ME because people had difficulty with the first-time synching procedure. It would have been in Nintendo's best interest to fix this, so I assume they would have.
By: BernierCR42. on 21 Sep 08, 20:32:11
you are retarded. You can permasync at anytime.
By: jevansturner. on 16 Sep 08, 02:03:12
I'm not sure if that answers my question. Say I take my only Wii remote to a friend's house and somebody perma-syncs with his Wii instead of guest-synching; how would I ever be able to pair a Wii remote with my Wii after this hack has been applied? It would be effectively bricked if you can never again pair a Wii remote!
By: MahSixFo. on 12 Sep 08, 09:27:08
