Leonard Cohen wrote it. It was first released in 1984. Cohen is a brilliant songwriter and poet, but sometimes (like any songwriter) his works come out better when performed by others. I really love Cohen doing his own "Dance Me to the End of Time."

This is one of those songs that no matter how much you might be going through it'll tell u to go on and live since there's a reason to live after all. I have to agree that this is probably one of the most beautiful, best written, and most inspiring songs ever. I will never get tired of loving this song and of admitting that he has one of the best vocals in history also. Simply beautiful.. :)
