this is definitely a fake in the polygon battle, the player (supposedly) positions himself directly under the spawn points either the guy memorized them (and the spawn points change every so often) or its definitely a bot also, in the polygon battle, there is one part where a polygon would've landed on him, but instead, it did a jump kick. the player didn't even flinch, meaning he knew exactly what the polygon was going to be doing trust me, this is definitely fake

ur very good but u got lucky a few times for example, at the end of fighting pikachu u were right next to the place were the pokemon come out and u got very lucky that it just so happened to be chansey. im not sure if any other pokemon would have caused damage to u but still. but anyways ur very good and taught me a few things.

Exactly, the HARDCORE people tend to play them. Just what percentage of the gaming population is hardcore? Not much last I checked, and Nintendo realizes that. I'm not saying I like all the things that were changed. I'd have liked if at least L-cancel was kept in (I would still be maining Link). But the fact of the matter is, Brawl sold a lot better than Melee and 64 ever did, so why should Nintendo give two shits about pleasing the hardcore gamers? Theres more to do than just fight.

the thing about the more options in brawl is bullshit... i play fighting games...i came here to fight...all the options in the world...but i still just came here to fight... almost all of the 'combos' in brawl can be air dodged out of and/or are escape able... both 64 and melee are more fast paste and dynamic...so the more hardcore people will tend to play them.... you can say its fun....but that's all that it is...and my 'fun' got boring really fast...

Yes, horrible quality, thats why it got such good reviews... >_> And only to an outsider it should seems as if nothing happens, thats why melee and 64 matches are more entertaining to watch. A lot should actually be going on in your head, as the player, as mindgames are so crucial to success. And in some ways it requires more technical skill. As DI is so much easier, its on the opponents burden to try and continue the combo. Check out Chudat's Kirby, he does combo Melee style.

Brawl is slow as hell. NOTHING HAPPENS. The only cool part is the final smashes, which get boring after the tenth time. Brawl is just so.... undynamic. The foot-stool jumps had potential, but too bad hit stun doesn't last long enough to make it a usable technique. The lack of combos give no opportunity to use them. I'd rather play one match of a quality game like Smash64 or Melee, than 12 hours of crap on a disc like Brawl.

i'm sorry i thought it was plain to see that character like c.falcon and puff had been changed to the point that they are useless, while their new gimmicky characters are all super strong. what i was trying to say before is that more characters were "playable" in melee than in brawl, using gimpyfish and taj as reference that bottom tier characters can be played and get good results. find me a big tourney with a high bottom tier brawl result.

I didn't want to offend any people that play brawl. the competitive community is there, it just isnt going to go too far, as the game isn't deep enough.. to generalize. specific reasons like how the defensive options are so much greater than the attack options, putting an attacker at a GREAT disadvantage. leads to camping being a very, very viable strat. unless you're metaknight of course.

But the idea stands that the effective implementation of any and all techniques is the way to victory over everyone. the pursuit of a mastery over all the techniques / effective and appropriate implementation of the techs is what breeds the greatest competition. the techs give advantages at lower levels of play, but when everyone knows the techs (ie how to best control your character) thats when it becomes all about smart play/mindgames.

this is wrong. there are many "glitches" as you say, necessary to play all three games competitively. there aren't glitches though, is the thing. the developers knew about most of these "glitches" prerelease, and left them in. for example, z-canceling, a technique in ss64, is the exact same function as l-canceling in melee, and the same function as auto-canceling in brawl. there are such "tricks" in every smash game, and ss64 is no different.

All teirs are is a basic representation of the purely mathmatical advantage of a character. and link in brawl is tragicly underrated as he was in melee. in the first game, no one cared about tiers haha.

"Stacking up damage kills them." As mind blowing as this statement is, it applies to anyone. Some characters don't even need to stack damage, this game is full of 0-to-death possibilities. I sympathize because I love using SSB Link, he's fun to play, but his recovery above all other things is what makes him so god awful. D:

If you think about it, Melee really took a big leap from 64 and introduced everything Brawl has, but Brawl expanded the idea. SSE is basically adventure mode with cutscenes. Graphics for Brawl isnt as jaw dropping as Melee's graphics were for its time. Gameplay for Brawl isnt as great as melee's either. Before i knew about the AT's, i use to play Melee nonstop and i never get bored. With Brawl, only 30 mins tops. for me the list is... 1. Melee 2. SSB 3. Brawl

Melee had actual events and required more skill, but Brawl flows better in angle/gravity, music, graphics and gameplay. But mainly of all, Brawl is based on a story! Brawl has to be better, just try arguing!!! P.S. I could do with less glitches in Brawl, though.

ive played melee for about the full years it has been out and brawl. After playing brawl I went to melee. And saw how much melee sucked. I mean the whole game is liek fake. A bootleg. Brawl feels more professional and looks a lot better. Besides the looked, gameplay is so much better. And in brawl "although you may think this" the characters are faster. Its been proven. Also brawl just has more.

This is a series made for multi-player mayhem, so of course people are going to judge based on the multi-player aspect, to not do so would make very little sense. In terms of single player, Brawl is better. Multi-player Melee hands down. 3 reasons melee's multi is better: 1. Melee way faster, and more responsive. Also, when you run, you can gain some momentum in a jump so speed actually counts for something. 2. When I play Brawl, I'm always left feeling cheated by too many unfair deaths or characters that are insanely cheap. There's no sense of balance. 3. I could sit and play Melee for hours never getting bored. Not with Brawl. Just my opinion
