Nine Inch Nails uses a multitude of Music Making programs and other Hardware/Software, but They've used the program Ableton Live quite frequently. I also use the program and i must say, it's a great way to make music. I'd suggest getting a cracked version online but to be honest they are really buggy and make you want to kick something.

Something about Trent's music it just takes you away, out of every kind of music and every band I listen to nothing takes me away like his music you feel like you're dreaming. This is by far the best NIN video I think it's just as tripped out as the song
