This SCA stuff looks pretty awesome, yeah. I, myself almost joined the SCA but I figured I'd go for the NVG(New Varangian Guard) instead. It's a smaller group, so we don't have the massive, awesome fights like the SCA does, but we use very different equipment. We use steel weapons and periodically accurate equipment, but we have to be thoroughly trained so we don't smack each other up D: Also, we let anyone train, but they've gotta be 16 - and authorised - before they can fight in public :D

Im 14 years old, and this looks like something i'd like to do. I looked on the SCA(dot)com and read about the teens SCA aren't allowed to participate "martial art based on tournament foot-combat in the Middle Ages, until the age of 18 in most kingdoms." Then it says that "Youth combat, using foam-padded boffer weapons, may be available to youth under the minimum" Does that include the massive fighting at near the end of this video, meaning that teens under 18 aren't allowed to do that?

If anybody sees this I'd appreciate being helped out- just recently I saw a short 30 second spot for this movie on tv, with some amazingly powerful organ music at the tail end of it. I literally can't find this spot anywhere on the internets and am desperate to find the music. I saw the trailer in theaters and actually wasn't that intrigued by it, but hearing this music changed my mind, that's how great it was. thanks

I just love Cate Blanchett's face 0:32 when she sees Benjamin for the first time, judging by his age and the trailer, in like 20 years. That was truly great acting. Her going from a causual smile as if to a stranger to genuine surprise like someone was back from the dead. Benjamin was an odd childhood friend that looked like an old man. Now she sees him younger and a grown man (looking like it now) and she's like "I'm in love."

It is an interesting point of view of life since we start out as babies with needing help and then age to become old where we need help as well. So we do live in a cycle of life whether we start out old or young. I really think this movie is going to be interesting to watch on how it is to look at point of view of starting out old going young. I think it is very intriguing and curiousity drags me to want to watch it.
