In other words, human nature is everything humans do. But it is certain social systems, which are human creations, that bring out different human traits. However, solidarity, kindness, selflessness, generosity, are also important human traits, and far more common. I am not arguing about "winning strategies" since that really doesn't mean anything. What I am saying is that Europeans were not more intelligent than anyone else, and the fact that they overwhelmingly relied on violence when dealing with others actually shows the opposite. Violence is natural, as is compassion and solidarity. Genocide and child molestation is human that doesnt mean its good. Survival of the fittest is foolishness, and even Darwin didn't use that terminology.

No this just simply isn't true on so many levels. First of all the Maya were a vast people, so to designate such a vast society as one entity is off. Secondly, the reasons for the Mayans collapse are not really known. But thirdly, all societies weren't violent, especially in the sense Europeans were.
