News: Dynasty Warriors (PSP)

Review of the recently released PSP port for the Xbox360 and PlayStation 3.

So how do you start off the year without a Dynasty Warriors title? Well, you don’t. That’s why Koei brought the once, PSP exclusive title, over to the Playstation 3 and Xbox 360. Dynasty Warriors has always been a franchise that delivers a predictable experience. The progression of Yellow Turban Rebellion to the felling of the final warlord is incredibly formulaic and yet never manages to get stale.Dynasty Warriors Strikeforce is a PSP port and the latest entry in the long-running series from Koei.

With the new year, as expected you can count on Koei to release yet another game in the Warriors series. This time they are doing it with a port of Dynasty Warriors: Strikeforce, originally developed for the PSP. Some of you may know this already but the PSP game Dynasty Warriors Strikeforce is Epic, better then all previous DW games(IMO). The game has now got a demo and is live on XBL marketplace and is the exact same as the psp version but with updated graphics co-op and more levels.

KOEI is back at it with the Dynasty Warriors franchise, this time having released Strikeforce for the PSP and now for the PS3 and 360.

KOEI wants us DW fans to experience even more killings of mindless soldiers. They decided to release DW 6 for PSP, based on the PS2 game of the same title. The enhanced port will include ad-hoc multiplayer, new good looking costumes for characters and Meng Ho, freshly from DW 6: Empires.

Undead Knights isn’t a revolution PSP game; the title is a capable amalgam of Dynasty Warriors' swordplay, Overlord’s minion-directing, with just a dash of puzzling. While controlling a band of zombies can be invigorating in short doses, the title doesn’t offer quite enough depth or polish to warrant its forty dollar MSRP.
